Aussie Music

Australia has produced great Rock & Popular music for many years - much of which is rarely heard in the UK. Most people in the UK will have heard of AC/DC, INXS, Men At Work, Crowded House, Kylie Minogue, Jason Donovan - and that’s about it! 

There are many bands & artists that are very well known in Australia but not known in the UK. These include: Cold Chisel, The Angels, Paul Kelly, Tina Arena, Hoodoo Gurus, Powderfinger, Tame Impala, Mondo Rock, Daddy Cool, John Farnham, Jimmy Barnes, Hunters & Collectors, Guy Sebastian, Rose Tattoo, Diesel, Eskimo Joe - the list could go on & on!

The Countdown Disco has a catalogue of over 4000 tracks of Australian Rock & Popular music in its library and so can provide playlists containing up to 100%  of this great music. 

The Countdown Disco has had some success in playing to ex-pat UK based Australians. For two successive years the Countdown Disco has provided dance music at  Australia House, The Strand, London at the Gala Dinner held there to celebrate Australia Day; has provided Classic Aussie Rock at two ANZAC Day events in Shoreditch & Islington; and provided Aussie music at the Australia Day Craft Beer Festival held at The Oval Centre, London in January 2017

The Countdown Disco is on a mission to bring Australian Rock & Popular music to the attention of people in the UK and is looking to contact UK based ex-pat Australians who may be organising social events where their great music would be appreciated.
